OMG!!! Awesomesauce! Y'all did great! I feel so cool "knowing" y'all!
ReplyDeleteAwesome job!! It is so funny to read your guys' thoughts and get to know you through here, and share MY stories with you when relevant. You guys are just so much fun.
ReplyDeleteWanna know something weird, though? Seeing you guys as REAL people. Ok, so Kate looks pretty much EXACTLY like I pictured her... but YOU, Julie, Lydia, whatever you want to call yourself- YOU were SUPPOSED to look JUST LIKE ME!!! Wth?!? Why aren't you brunette with freckles? And where were your yoga pants and clogs? :P I mean, I am guessing that you are wearing them now, as you read this, but then again.. so am I.
So, dish, ladies- how did it feel to get glammed up and go on TV? :)
PS. Despite cringing as I say this, I have to let you guys know that they do sell boxed wine at Wal-Mart, too... but in my mind, it is still a T-box.
LOVE how they hid Lydia's shoes behind the ticker. I wanted to see the clogs!
ReplyDeleteThis was awesome and I totally want to be your friends even more.
You will be on the Today Show or a guest spot on 30 Rock before you know it! Can you believe how fantastic you are?!
ReplyDeleteWay to GO!!
ReplyDeleteHahaha.
ReplyDeleteYou're professionals.
hahahahahahahaha
Not a boobstain in sight, both so poised and glam ... will your kids recognise you when you get home?
ReplyDeleteWas just telling my hub your story, he doesn't get the whole cool factor of it yet. This blogging gig is new too me and do I ever wish that I had hidden behind an avatar when I started it (my parents have already refused too read me!)
Will be in DC in two weeks, I may stalk pre-schools in order to find you and offer to buy you alcohol, I mean coffee :)
Huge congrats on The Huff and the tv interview!
May the endorsements roll in ....
Wow you ladies are TOTAL professionals now!!! As far as I could tell no boob stains for Lydia!! LoL Sooo what was the safe word!?
ReplyDeleteYEEEEEEEH BOYYYYYY!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou guys did great! And you are even funnier when I can see your facial expressions. Kudos!
ReplyDeleteAwww... I'm so proud. And to think I knew you when.
ReplyDeleteOkay, I don't actually "know" you. But whatever. I know you. You guys really did great.
Hooray!! Love you even more knowing you ARE real!!!
ReplyDeleteAwesome interview! You both did great! Nice to finally 'meet' you! How funny we meet some of our best friends on the worst days...
ReplyDeleteHey, isn't the new O network looking for people like you... awesome in person and in writing..
ReplyDeleteLOVE IT!!!!! Well done guys!!
ReplyDeleteYAY!!! You ladies are so awesome. Lydia, you and I would totally be friends in real life and I would totally be intimidated by Kate. Even though I do love fab shoes. She is just so THIN!!!! Ugh. ;)
ReplyDeleteI love you both.
I think I'm falling in love with you ladies even more. THANK YOU for being so real and funny and all that jazz. I seriously appreciate you more than you know! :)
ReplyDeleteSo freakin cool! The Mommies represent! It is so refreshing to see women who are real, who look and talk the way my friends and I do, making it in a big way.
ReplyDeleteThat is some awesomesauce.
Wow, you guys totally rock. I was kind of scared to watch because I thought maybe you wouldn't be what I expected. But you were both so natural, and it was 678 different kinds of awesome.
ReplyDeleteLydia, you are LOVELY! Love the stripey hair! And I feel SO cool to have known you before you were PROFESSIONAL.
ReplyDeleteheheheeeee
Congrats. xoxoox

Love, Love, Love it!!! I felt so proud of y'all!!!!! You did great.... keep the hits comin'.
ReplyDeleteOh... and the idea of the news ticker on Nick Jr and Disney... GENIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
First, you ladies looked gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteNext, I foresee (did I spell that right?) a book deal and then a movie deal. You should probably start thinking about who you would like to have cast to play you!
i was already in love with you two and now i really love you and idolize you! i love your sarcasm and outlook on life. thank you for being real!
ReplyDeleteLoved this! Love reading your posts...they make my day. I think wonderful things are to come for you both...I've said this before but I'll say it again...SITCOM. But no matter what happens please keep writing!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Rachael, SITCOM! ABC might actually have a hit show if they use you guys as the writers and the original concept to bounce off of.
ReplyDeleteSo funny to hear your real voices and compare them to the ones in my head (the ones I imagine you to have, not the OTHER ones)....Love you both!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Am liking the sitcom concept too. After all, this stuff practically writes itself! Right? ;) Cheers.
ReplyDeleteLove love love you ladies! Really enjoyed seeing you "for real." When my husband and I are sitting in front of our respective laptops, and I start laughing with tears streaming down my face, he always says "Kate and Lydia?" And I have to read it to him...usually he doesn't get it...big surprise!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Thank you for being so REAL!!
ReplyDeleteYou two should apply for the rights to that customizable ticker idea.
ReplyDeleteFantabulous! I love that you can't keep your real names and blog names straight. LOL
ReplyDeleteYou guys are awesome! Congrats on everything and I hope everything continues to go well for you! :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats!! You guys really do rock and are both gorgeous. I totally love the sitcom idea! I think a lot of family/kid situation stuff is written by the (usually male) spouse who isn't actually at home with the kids all day. Case in point - the mother who is still in her "loungewear" during the day on a sitcom is usually represented as lounging and leisurely, while us mothers know she really just hasn't had a free moment all day to even get dressed! Although a sitcom from our perspective might be too scary... or the execs would do what they did to the tv version of [In?] The Motherhood and air it at...wait for it...bedtime! Seriously what mommy isn't putting her kids to bed at 7 central? [or 8 eastern for that matter...]
ReplyDelete[This comment typed one-handed while holding a sleeping baby! And don't we love it... and never see it on tv]
SWEET! Two thumbs up for an awesome job! Both of you are gorgeous! Love seeing you and hearing your voices...for real vs. inside my head ;-)
ReplyDeleteAnd I adore the video / footage of the kids protected them...yet another reason I love you.
You two are my real-life heroines...THANK YOU! How have we come this far w/out a real respectable face for real-life motherhood? Keep this up and they'll have your faces as halloween costumes next year!
Congrats and prayers for your continued success!
u guys are so cute! lydia, you are so adorable! kate, you go girl!
ReplyDeleteWow. Kate...I feel weird saying this to another woman, but you're kinda hot. And Lydia is so adorable! She looks like the perfect mommy, I just want to run up and hug her. Way to go you guys!
ReplyDeleteTen thousand kinds of awesome! I read your blog every day and just love love LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteYou guys are absolutely amazing. Swoon.
And I have to ask a totally weird question -- Kate, how do you style your hair? I love it!!
You guys were AWESOME! Thanks for "outting yourselves"! If I saw you in Target I'd buy you each a T-box for brightening up my mornings!
ReplyDeleteAWESOME job ladies!
ReplyDelete(and your hair looks FIERCE)
I'm so happy for you two - & very sorry I couldn't help celebrate yesterday - YOU DID AMAZINGLY! :) You both looked absolutely fierce, hair looked awesome... I'm so, so, so excited for you. I'm there for the next T-Box, I swear!
ReplyDeleteTotally awesome job on everything ladies! I think you guys now need to take it to the next step and petition for a spot on The Ellen DeGeneres Show!! Perfect opportunity for you guys to come out and dance a little and share a T-box with Ellen while you discuss your blog!!
ReplyDeleteAre you both just floating on a cloud? At least for the eight seconds you get to do that until one of your babes reminds you there's dog poo in the family room or something. I'm so very happy for you. And it occured to me while watching, that the two of you are a testimony to friendship. How nice to witness this when many of us observe such snitchy ass hats most of the time.
ReplyDeleteNo matter what lies ahead for RFML, you both have a lot to be proud of already. I am so delighted to have been a guest in your wonderful "closet to scream in" in cyberspace!
Fantastic! Loved putting faces to names...you ladies rock. Oh, and I totally agree with the posts above that mention having a sitcom about you guys!!!
ReplyDeleteI had one of those I'm-a-crap-mom days and was debating which wine to drown my sorrows in. Instead, I watched this. It's nice to be reminded that there are other imperfect moms right here in the county - now I don't feel so alone.
ReplyDeleteAwesome!!!
ReplyDeleteBy the way...I totally think you guys need your own sitcom!
Oh such awesomeness!!! Congrats ladies, you rock!
ReplyDeleteI loved seeing what "Kate" and "Lydia" really look like. You both were fantabulous!!!
ReplyDeleteI loved the comment about bleach before 7 am...and the blank look you got from the commentators at first. WE all know EXACTLY what you mean .
ReplyDeleteI hope you're feeling the love all the way from Canada because you guys are AWESOME.
ReplyDeleteLoved it! You both did an amazing job!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much ladies for sharing with all of us!I love the blog and am so happy for you that you are getting the attention you, and so many mommies, deserve!
ReplyDeleteThat was great!! I LOVE that I know what your voices sound like! Now when I'm reading the blog it's like I can hear you saying the words. Feels like I'm actually, maybe having a conversation with you guys - instead of just stalking you and wishing we were real friends.
ReplyDeleteLoved the video!!! I read your blog everyday. Makes me feel a bit more sane. Thanks for sharing the truth of just how hard it is to be a parent.
ReplyDeleteLoved it! For some reason I always pictured Kate being a brunette! (Brainwashed by Kate on 'Lost', maybe?) You both are gorgeous and funny. Kudos to you!
ReplyDeleteAhh! You guys were awesome! Congrats!!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! It was so nice to finally see you guys! I read your blog all the time and wonder what the heck do they look like? So it's nice to put a face with the woman behind the blog. You seem as funny and nice live as you do from behind the screen, reading your blog always gives me a giggle and I can totally relate to so many of them.
ReplyDeleteCongrats ladies! It was so nice to finally match faces with names! I had no idea how you picked your names for the blog, that was very interesting! Kate...FIERCE HAIR!!! I love your hair! Could you do mine? Love you gals!
