Happy and I were waiting at the Kiss 'n' Ride line at school this morning. K 'n' R makes him slightly nervous because he feels the need to have a conversation with whichever teacher comes to retrieve him, and he needs to come up with a topic.
I suggested a couple of options -- the beach, Spider-man, possible snow -- none of which proved to be acceptable small talk in his mind.
Principal came to get him, and just as she was opening the door, this happened:
Principal: Hey kiddo! How are you today?
Happy: Good.
[jumps out of car, then juts his little hips at her] I got a BIG THING!
[walks inside]
Principal: You're gonna make your mama proud.
