If you don't like my notes then make your own sandwich.
When your kids ask you to make their lunches, write heartfelt and embarrassing love notes on their sandwiches. This one was a huge hit in the middle school cafeteria. I mean, if you don’t want everyone at your table to know that I love my precious schmoopy then I probably shouldn’t still be making your sandwiches.

I'm pretty cool but I cry a lot.
I was at the craft store buying big yarn (because I'm obsessed with hand crocheting with big yarn) and I saw this and fell in love with it and showed my friends and I hollered “YOU GUYS ITS LIKE THIS WAS MADE FOR ME!” And they were like “Yes, but I also think it was made as decor for a baby’s room.”

Report from the Field: No snow, no school.
Update: No school again today.
2 days of school in the past 3 weeks & the school district said they were “monitoring” tomorrow’s weather conditions. Please keep in mind that it hasn't really snowed. It's just really cold and windy. I love days off from school, especially when I don't have to teach, but things are getting super weird at my house. We need some semblance of normal to return. One kid is catatonic, one is behaving like an angry, hissing kitten & one is playing 2 recorders at the same time - one on each nostril. Even Brady, the world’s most patient dog, is like “Wtf are we going to do with these kids?” Also, the amount of calories consumed in the past three days is HORRIFYING.
